The Cuddle Bus
Imagine yourself on a bus full of loving puppies just waiting to be cuddled. Read below to find out how you can make it happen!
The Cuddle Bus is full of beanbags, loving adoptable rescue puppies and YOU! Each Cuddle Bus is a fundraiser for Small Breed Rescue of East TN in partnership with Knox Brew Tours. All Cuddle Bus proceeds exclusively benefit SBRET and is an excellent private or corporate event or way for a local business to give back to the community. From showing team appreciation to giving people an experience they won’t forget and everything in between, The Cuddle Bus is an unforgettable way to give back.
Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee, Inc. (SBRET) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding forever homes for displaced or abandoned small breed dogs. We are also dedicated to educating the public about pet overpopulation, the benefits of spaying/neutering, and the horrors of puppy mills. 100% of their funds go toward the care of each dog. SBRET has ZERO paid staff and is completely volunteer based.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I book a cuddle bus?
Due to the nature of business and availability of Knox Brew Tours, we typically can schedule a Cuddle Bus Monday through Wednesday and some Sundays.
Is it only puppies? Or dogs of all ages?
At this time, we only offer a Cuddle Bus full of puppies.
Is it weather dependent?
We will continue with a Cuddle Bus even if it is raining!
Will dogs be available for adoption the day of the event?
We will be accepting applications the day of the event but puppies will not be ready for adoption until they are spayed/neutered and receive their last set of vaccinations. In addition, we have an adoption process that includes a vet reference and home visit.
How many people can fit on the bus at one time?
During a Cuddle Bus, we can fit 2-4 people at a time.
How much does The Cuddle Bus cost?
We generally receive a $500 donation to bring the Cuddle Bus to you.
Do you have any recommendations for attire?
You are going to be on the floor of a bus covered with blankets, bean bags, and puppies so be comfortable. We would recommend no short dresses. We will also ask you to remove your shoes or place on shoes covers (provided) to protect the puppies that are not yet fully vaccinated.
What is the process for adopting a SBRET rescue?
After we receive your application, we will contact your vet and personal reference listed. After we confirm that your past and current pets were examined yearly by a vet and were/are up to date on vaccines and heart worm prevention, and spayed/neutered, we will contact you for a home visit. Please see our web page at www.sbret.com for further information on our adoption process.
What is the process for being a foster for SBRET?
Our number one need is foster homes! With all the money in the world we still could not rescue pups without foster homes. The first step is to fill out a foster application online at www.sbret.com. We will do a vet reference check to make sure that current pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations and heart worm prevention. We will then contact you to set up a home visit during which we will give you an overview of the rescue organization, your responsibilities, and answer any questions you may have. You can read more about fostering at www.sbret.com
How long does a The Cuddle Bus typically last?
Each Cuddle Bus typically lasts for 2 hours.
